Ed Albers
From apprentice draftsman in an Annapolis, MD landscape firm and Merchandise Mart Properties intern at The Washington Design Center, Ed Albers' creative acumen launched a design career that continues to innovate over ten years after the inception of DCOR.
Ed's meticulous 1999 renovation of his Silver Lake home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware immediately caught the town's notice, garnering the coveted Rehoboth Beach Town Cottage Award and spurring Ed to channel his creative energy into a career that was solely design-focused.
In the summer of 2002, he opened Albers Design Group and collaborated with clients, architects and other designers on residential and commercial design projects.
An Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Ed has served as a board member for the Maryland chapter of ASID.
Today, Ed is recognized as a dynamic innovator of classic design styles balanced with the best of contemporary. He is noted for his crisp attention to detail, his ability to develop well proportioned rooms and his expert use of color. Ed has a keen sense of style combined with practicality. His ideas for comfort and style include luxurious fabrics, warm colors, great books, framed pictures of family and friends, living plants and flowers.
